Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E)
CBT-E has strong evidence for treating Bulimia Nervosa and Anorexia Nervosa. Generally this therapy is done with high levels of collaboration with you, your GP, and sometimes a dietitian and/or other specialist providers.
It involves weekly sessions and can last between 20-52 weeks depending on diagnosis. If you require acute medical care for an eating disorder, you should access this through your GP or emergency department and may require a higher level of care than we can provide.
